Distinguished Service Award
The AAMG Distinguished Service Award is the most prestigious award for individuals in the U.S. academic museum profession. It honors individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to the field of academic museums over the course of their careers. Recipients are recognized for their leadership, service, innovation, mentorship, advocacy, and active engagement with the professional community.
Champion of Belonging Award
The AAMG Champion of Belonging Award recognizes individuals in the U.S. academic museum profession who are making an impact in creating a sense of belonging in their institutions, communities, and/or the museum field. Awards recognize a specific achievement or body of work that has benefited the honoree’s academic institution, community, or the broader academic museum field related to the 2025 AAMG annual conference theme, belonging.
