Curator: USC Pacific Asia Museum

Recently re-opened, the USC Pacific Asia Museum (PAM) is the only museum devoted to the arts and culture of Asia and Pacific Islands located within a major research university. Located in Pasadena, CA, the Museum is located in a registered historical building in the style of a Chinese courtyard. Its collection of over 15,000 pieces encompasses a wide range of art and cultural traditions from Asia and Pacific Islands and spans more than five thousand years. JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of the Museum, the Curator cares, manages, researches, displays, interprets, and develops the USC Pacific Asia Museum’s permanent collection and conceptualizes and organizes exhibitions. The Curator works closely with the Director to design and implement curatorial strategies to build the PAM as a destination of Asian and Pacific Islands arts and cultures, as well as a leading university museum.
