The Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG), and its membership committee, is proud to support our members. You are essential to what we do at AAMG, which is why we will continue to provide AAMG’s listserv, website, social media engagement, and conference discounts with membership, using the best means of support, advocacy, and professional engagement possible. It is our primary mission to establish and support “best practices, educational activities and professional development that enable our member organizations to fulfill their educational missions.”

Thanks in part to generous support from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the newly published Professional Practices Document is the perfect example of what AAMG can do for our members. We brought together and codified best practices from the  American Alliance of Museums (AAM), Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD), American Association for State and Local History (AASLH), and Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC)–and aligned them with the categories currently used by AAM. Our goal is to help academic museums attain national accreditation and re-accreditation in even greater numbers.

2018 will see modest increases in fees via the structure listed below. If you renew for 2018 before March 1, then you can do so at the 2017 rate. These increases are necessary to preserve member benefits and to ensure that AAMG can continue to do what it does best: serve our members. Student memberships will always remain FREE.

Institutional: $150.00 / (1-4 FTE and PTE): $175.00
