Gallery Director and Special Projects Coordinator – PCA&D 

Position Summary
This position is responsible for all aspects of gallery development, strategies, and management. It reports to the Academic Dean and supports presidential initiatives and development

Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the Main Gallery and its extensions
•    Responsible for developing exhibitions in consultation with the Academic Dean, senior staff, faculty, and at times the community
•    Engages faculty and students in co-curricular engagement that connects the formal and informal exhibitions with the curriculum
•    Engages with students and faculty in coordinating the artwork selection and hanging of the annual Senior Show Exhibition
•    Curates exhibitions
•    Handles all exhibition arrangements including shipping and/or pick-up of artwork, insurance, signage, installation, return of artwork, etc
•    Plans and arranges for staffing of all gallery openings in accordance with institutional policies
•    Works with PR office for releases, production of gallery card and images for the card and signage
•    Works with all other appropriate offices to ensure gallery maintenance and security
•    Develops and manages the gallery budget
•    Monitors gallery usage and maintains the “Count Log”
•    Work with academic chairs to coordinate guest speaker events
•    Research and develop community engagement strategies at an institutional level
•    Support the Director of Development with appropriate development, donor and board events
•    Other responsibilities as requested

Special Responsibilities
•    Provide the college and the President with support on special projects in attaining strategic goals and establishing new and larger networks/partnerships
•    Provide a supportive function to other areas of the college such as Public Relations, Development, and Marketing that would enhance the institutional goals for these areas
•    Focus, cultivate and develop relationships within the local community to increase the visibility and participation of the college in regional/city initiatives and planning.
•    Accelerate progress in these vital initiatives at the college
