AAM Appoints New President and CEO

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share some exciting news. Following an extensive national search, the Alliance Board of Directors has unanimously voted to appoint current Alliance Chief Operating Officer Laura L. Lott to the position of president and CEO, effective June 1, 2015.

Laura brings to the position an extensive background in nonprofit management and a passion for museums as places of lifelong learning. As chief operating officer since 2010, Laura has led the Alliance through a number of milestone moments, including an organizational re-launch and redesign of the membership and excellence programs. Laura’s vision for the future of the Alliance is aligned with the Board’s strategic priorities to expand the organization internationally and strengthen its position as a thought leader and advocate for museums.

The appointment was announced to Alliance staff today, but I also wanted you to be one of the first to hear the news.

The full release is now available on our website.

Please join me, the Alliance Board and staff in welcoming Laura to her new position. Share your well wishes with Laura and join the conversation using #AAMLauraLott!

Also, be sure to join us in Atlanta, April 26–29, for the AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo where you will have the opportunity to meet and congratulate Laura in person.

Regards,

Kaywin Feldman
