I have been the Director of the Georgia Southern University Museum since 2000. I first joined the ACUMG board in the Spring of 2002 as a Board Member at Large to help represent history and natural history museums. As Vice President I helped to lead the development of our first strategic plan at the 2010 Los Angeles board meeting and have continued to serve with AAMG. I have worked professionally for 30 years in a wide variety of museums, and while I remain active in my state and regional museum associations, AAMG has been an incredibly valuable resource of information, inspiration, and collegiality that has been vital to my time as an academic museum director.
