Executive Director – Racine Art Museum

The Racine Art Museum Association, Inc. (RAMA) is a two-campus organization consisting of the Racine Art Museum (RAM) and the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts (Wustum) located in Racine, Wisconsin which is located on the shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River, situated 22 miles south of Milwaukee, WI and 60 miles north of Chicago, IL. The Racine Art Museum and RAM’s Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts is in search of a dynamic Executive Director to oversee all operating, financial, exhibition, and programming components of RAMA’s two museums.

The Executive Director is the chief staff representative to the Board of Directors and oversees the daily operations of each museum. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the permanent collection including the solicitation and acquisition of artworks, accessions and deaccessions, collections care, and the collection’s long-term development. The Director will have a passion for museums, preferably art and contemporary craft; with a proven record of building relationships locally and nationally.

The salary range for this position is $182,000 – $200,000. Generous benefits are offered.
