Avi Staiman

Avi Staiman is founder and CEO of Academic Language Experts (ALE), an author services company dedicated to helping multilingual scholars communicate and publish their research. Through ALE, Avi has spent more than 15 years working with researchers, universities, publishers, and research organizations around the world, giving him a first-hand perspective on the challenges authors face navigating scholarly publishing.

Avi is an active member of the scholarly communication community. He is a chef (editor) at The Scholarly Kitchen, co-host of the New Books Network Scholarly Communication Podcast, and a reviewer for Wiley’s Learned Publishing. His work explores how publishers and research institutions can better support authors, particularly multilingual researchers, and how the scholarly publishing ecosystem can become more accessible, equitable, and responsive to researcher needs.

More recently, his work has also focused on the impact of AI on research and scholarly publishing. He has trained more than 30,000 researchers, advises Springer Nature Cureus’ Journal of AI-Augmented Research, and is a core member of CANGARU, representing EASE in work on responsible AI policy for research. Avi has guest lectured at New York University and the University of Tokyo, and his essays have appeared in the Cambridge University Press Blog, The Scholarly Kitchen, Multilingual, and Times Higher Education.

Jessica Skwire Routhier

Jessica Skwire Routhier is the managing editor of Panorama, journal of the Association of Historians of American Art, and the copy editor for Journal of Historians of Netherlandish Art, both born-digital, open-access publications. Based in Maine, she has written and spoken widely about cultural collaborations in the state, most recently a chapter on Maine’s bicentennial exhibitions in What We Know, What We Wish: Maine Statehood, Historical Commemoration, and the Urgency of Public History (UMass Press, 2025) and a piece on the art and ecology of Monhegan Island for Bowdoin Magazine (2025). Her ongoing research involves intersections between literature and American art in the long nineteenth century, including The Painter’s Panorama: Narrative, Art, and Faith in the Moving Panorama of Pilgrim’s Progress (University Press of New England, 2015) and recent articles on artistic allusions in the work of Walt Whitman and Edith Wharton.

Keidra Daniels Navaroli, PhD

Keidra Daniels Navaroli, PhD, is a curator and specialist in academic museum practice, who currently teaches at the University of Central Florida. Her research has been published by Oxford University Press, Hirmer Publishers, Surface Design Journal, College Art Association, and others. Currently, Keidra serves on the editorial board for Panorama: Journal of the Association of Historians of American Art and on the boards of AAMG, the Mennello Museum of American Art, and the Surface Design Association, as well as the Membership, Outreach, and Programs Committee of the Textile Society of America.

Laura Foster

Laura Foster is the Director of Academic Publishing and the Interim Director of Applied Research at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In her role, she oversees the publication strategy for the Museum’s scholarly publications, including the USHMM Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos 1933-1945, the academic journal Holocaust and Genocide Studies, the forthcoming book series Holocaust Studies in Translation, and open access support for monographs and edited volumes. Before joining the Museum, Laura held positions at Little Brown & Company, Blackwell Publishing, John Wiley & Sons, and Oxford University Press.

William B. Crow, Ph.D.

William B. Crow, Ph.D. is Director of Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) and Professor of Practice in the Department of Art, Architecture, and Design.  Prior to his appointment as Director, he was the inaugural Educator in Charge of Teaching and Learning at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where he oversaw all educational programming for all ages.  Dr. Crow has taught at New York University, The New School for Social Research, and Johns Hopkins University, where he was awarded the University Award for Excellence in Teaching.  Crow was named a J. Paul Getty Museum Scholar in 2026.
