Dr. Christina Larson

Visiting Assistant Professor, Andrew W. Mellon Fellow for Academic Engagement, University of Miami Libraries / Lowe Art Museum

Dr. Christina Larson joined the University of Miami as the Andrew W. Mellon Fellow for Academic Engagement in November 2017. In this role, she works closely with her colleagues at the Lowe Art Museum and University of Miami Libraries to promote cultural resources for teaching, learning, and research purposes with various academic disciplines. Larson also oversees the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation CREATE Grants Program create.miami.edu that supports faculty projects with these collections. Much of Larson’s 22 years of museum and art historical experience has centered on academic programs, education, curatorial projects, and teaching at the college level. Dr. Larson received her Ph.D. in art history (2015) and Master’s degree (2007) in art history and museum studies from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Her undergraduate degree is in art history and English (2000), with a certificate in museum studies (2005) from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
