Art Gallery & Museum Director – Vincent Price Art Museum, East Los Angeles College

An Art Gallery and Museum Director has full responsibility for the planning, promotion, operation, and direction of a college art gallery and museum and exhibitions and manages the business affairs of its supporting foundation.

SALARY INFORMATION

MONTHLY SALARY: $8,350.06 – $10,344.26 ($100,200 to $124,131 annually)

*Salary Information is based on a full-time, 12-month position

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF AN APPLICATION:

Education and Experience:

A. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university preferably with a degree in fine arts, studio art, art history, gallery or museum management, or closely related field AND five years of full-time, paid, professional level experience in directing or assisting in the direction of an art gallery or art museum.

OR

B. A master’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in fine arts, studio art, art history, gallery or museum management, or related field AND three years of full-time, paid, professional level experience in directing or assisting in the direction of an art gallery or art museum.

Special:

A valid Class “C” California driver’s license must be obtained within 10 days of appointment.

Travel to locations throughout the District is required

EXAMINATION PROCESS
