Curator of Exhibition & Public Programs – Mary & Eliza Freeman Center for History and Community, Bridgeport, CT

The Mary & Eliza Freeman Center for History and Community in Bridgeport, CT seeks an experienced museum professional to fill the Curator of Exhibition & Public Programs position. This key role will collaboratively develop and staff public programming and create an exhibition schedule that supports the interpretation goals and aligns with the Center’s mission and strategic priorities. A successful candidate will have at least 5 years of project management experience and a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role at an interdisciplinary cultural institution/organization or museum. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in African American cultural, intellectual, and social history, specifically in the nineteenth-century Black Atlantic world.
