Visitor Services and Development Program Coordinator – The Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin-Madison

The Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin-Madison, seeks a Visitor Services and Development Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for the primary coordination of the museum’s Visitor Services program, as well as collaborating with a team to strategize and implement a program to cultivate visitors to members and donors.

Degree and area of specialization

Bachelor’s degree required or significant experience working in Visitor Services, nonprofit membership, alumni or donor engagement.

Relevant work experience and skills

  • Minimum of 1-3 years professional work experience in Visitor Services, nonprofit member services or alumni engagement.
  • Experience with complex membership database functions, and Microsoft office suite.
  • Experience with Event planning, and management.
  • An understanding of the Museum’s vision and goals as related to the visitor experience including knowledge and sensitivity to multiculturalism and diversity, ability to work with a wide variety of people, including students, community members, employees, volunteers, and faculty.

Salary and benefits

$15.68-$22.70/hour, based on experience. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), permanent position with full university benefits. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00, with some flexibility possible. Due to the nature of public events, this position will require evenings and weekends.
