Art Collection Assistant: Indiana State University

Indiana State University has an open part time, no benefits position: Art Collection Assistant.

The Art Collection Assistant is responsible for maintenance and display of all artwork around Indiana State University’s campus. Installs and deinstalls artwork in campus buildings and the public artwork on campus grounds. Uses professional art handling procedures to move, inventory, audit, conserve, clean, exhibit, frame, document, and other activities involving artwork and artwork storage areas. Helps to maintain inventory, condition, and loan reports. The Art Assistant assists various campus employees, researchers, and vendors in accessing the art collection while maintaining its safety and security, ensuring its accessibility into the future. Performs these duties in assistance to the Permanent Art Collection Curator and is solely responsible for their performance in the Curator’s absence. Also performs other departmental duties as required.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, between 8:00am and 4:30pm, 28 hours per week
    • Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour, no benefits
