The Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth, seeks an Assistant Curator of Academic Programming to work with Dartmouth faculty and students to integrate the museum’s collections into their academic work. The position will run the day-to-day operations of the Center for Object Study, and facilitate the use of the museum’s collections within the College’s curriculum. They will also teach frequently with the collection and support Hood staff and Dartmouth faculty teaching with the collection.
Candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in art history or anthropology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. They must demonstrate a broad knowledge of art history and a range of cultures, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Lastly they must have curatorial experience, the ability to mentor college students, and a commitment to diversity.
