Director of the Goldstein Museum of Design, part of the University of Minnesota’s College of Design
Lin Nelson-Mayson is Director of the Goldstein Museum of Design, part of the University of Minnesota’s College of Design, and teaches museum studies and exhibition design. She has been director of ExhibitsUSA, curator of the Minnesota Museum of American Art, deputy director of the Columbia Museum of Art (SC), curator of the Art Museum of South Texas, and assistant curator of the Ross County Historical Society (OH). Lin is a strong advocate for the value of museums to whole communities and has served with professional organizations including the American Alliance of Museums, Association of Academic Museums and Galleries, Association of Midwest Museums, Southeastern Museum Association, Minnesota Association of Museums, South Carolina Museum Association, and South Carolina Abandoned Cultural Properties Board.
